Why were I charged multiple fees?

If there are multiple charges because you have subscribed to a plan repeatedly or by mistake, you can open APP->Cloud Services to see all the plans you have subscribed to. You can cancel the subscription by clicking on the plan, and no charges will be deducted or renewed after cancelling the subscription.
